What is the difference between desiccant and deoxidizer?
Desiccants and deoxidizers look very similar. They are all in small bags. The words "DO NOT EAT" or "inedible" are usually written on the package. We often see dry in some snack bags. Agent and deoxidizer. But in fact, many of my friends don't know the difference between desiccant and deoxidizer, and think they are the same thing.
Desiccants and deoxidizers are actually completely different. So, is our product suitable for desiccant or deoxidizer? Before answering this question, we must first analyze the respective uses of desiccant and deoxidizer. What is it doing? What are the uses?
1) Desiccant: The main use of the desiccant is literally understood, that is, it is used for drying and water absorption. Absorb the water vapor in the product packaging, control the relative humidity inside the product packaging, and give the product a dry environment so that the product will not rust and mold. In dry conditions, many things can be stored for longer periods of time. Usually desiccant is used in moisture-proof products such as dried fruit food, medicine, electronic products, clothing and shoes, household items, soft furniture, wood products, woven goods, leather goods, machinery, glass, etc.
2) Deoxidizer: literally, the deoxidizer absorbs oxygen and slows the oxidation of food. We know that general item spoilage is caused by oxidation, so it is possible to prevent the item from spoiling by controlling the amount of oxygen. Usually used in food, because many foods are water-containing, if you use a desiccant, it will affect the original taste of the food. If the drying dose is small, the water evaporated from the food can not be absorbed. Therefore, a deoxidizer can be used, and the deoxidizer can be given. Food creates an environment that allows moisture without rot (oxidation).
